About CCIM
The Committee for Careers in Medicine (CCIM) was formed to guide Koç University School of Medicine (KUSOM) students throughout medical education, grant full support for career decisions and help realize the “next step” in their professional journey.
CCIM provides individual coaching/counseling, taking trainees’ particular interests, values, qualities, skills, needs and preferences into account to create a personalized career plan. We aim to build an accessible, comprehensive formal curriculum of career resources and establish connections among a diverse forum of faculty, alumni and peers.
CCIM regards all career paths as equally valuable and encourages KUSOM students to pursue every prospect to find an experience that aligns with their specific values and interests. It is our firm belief that, moving beyond a traditional stepwise career model and presenting trainees with an alternative perspective to postgraduate medical training will produce workforce and scientific innovation.
